I live in Florida, where the weather is usually hot or “why pay to use a steam room when you can sit in your driveway?” Â hot. Â The weather has suddenly cooled down (which is a WELCOME change). Â It’s uncommon to have as many chilly days and even chillier nights in late October and early November. Â I can’t stand the heat, so the cool temperatures tend to liven me up. Â I’ve been sitting outside on my porch while I work. Â Since the weather change, I’ve been having Raynaud’s flare ups like never before. Â The symptoms are usually in my feet. Â Definitely worse than I’ve ever had them in the past. Â It’s somewhat ironic and a little bit funny, as the attacks started around the exact same time I began my Raynaud’s section here on the website, and my quick little lens on Squidoo. Â
When I got diagnosed, I wasn’t told much. Â It was actually after a surgery, I think, that a doctor told my mom “Oh, look at her hands, she has Raynaud’s” and then asked her a few questions about my history, to confirm. Â My feet also get extremely hot and red in warm weather. Â I’m a human hypercolor tee shirt. Â My mom, being a nurse, had thought the same thing in the past. Â I’ve heard about people losing fingers or toes from the tissue getting so damaged…scary. Â That’s not the type of thing that’s going to happen in this weather, but I can only imagine what it’s like in below zero temps. Â Not very comfortable. Â
Working on getting this place up to speed every day, though it may not look like it. Â So many details, it’s crazy. Â I’m enjoying learning about how to do everything and giving it all a go, myself. Â
